when are we going to see the signs such as , ' work for keep ' , and other similar placards, used in the depression years in the U.S. you keep boasting you are the greatest at everything, yeah except looking after the folks who lose their jobs, some losing their health coverage, through NO fault of their own

it is sickening when i am talking about the wealthiest country on the planet, the European Union, by & large look after these folks, with no discernible FOOD BANKS, or throwing folks out of Hospital as soon as they are able to walk !!

i am a senior citizen, who live in Scotland, with serious health issues, so the following is available to all UK citizens, & most MIGRANT workers. :

1 ] no need to worry about cost if you are diagnosed with a serious or any debilitating illness.

2 ] , if one is furloughed , or loses their jobs altogether, they know that they will be able to apply for benefits,, that take away the worries about rent, or food for them & their families.. the very few folks, who try to scam the system, are quickly identified, & people know, that they must take any available job, or lose their benefits, so the scammer gains little., a little JAIL time that is

3] there is a tax credit available for parents, & their kids, so if they have to go back to work part time , instead of full time then, that Tax credit kicks in , to supplement the family's reduced income..

now before some you say , that folks, would rather be on the Dole than working , is nonsense, because in depression times, one cannot go out for a meal, or flood the pubs all day, or even go the cinema, etc.

.they have however, piece of mind, that they & their families, will or should have enough to eat , & more importantly, parents, seniors, children will have IMMEDIATE access to good FREE healthcare primary, secondary ,or tertiary both, physical & mental , with very low or FREE prescription drugs.

the UK may not have the greatest healthcare system , in the world but it covers 100% of its citizens
while the so called greatest, wealthiest healthcare system on the planet, covers 66% of its people,

where would all the low income, minimum wage workers, unemployed, & uninsured rather be at this moment in time, America, or , the UK, France, Italy etc.etc. thankfully i stay in 1 of the above mentioned countries thank Christ stay safe & healthy

"In my life, i have done all that i can" though that was not the full sentence..those words should be encouragement enough for you and i to fight for our freedoms and rights. I have admired this man and Elijah Cummings my whole life. I cant believe we lost both in less than a year apart. That hurts so much..but I am sure they are resting quite comfortably now, after such long journeys

Tears are flowing down my face, such a wise, brave, generous and kind man! Sir, I've long respected and admired you; because, I know that had I suffered the slightest fraction of what you endured, I don't know that this redhead would just get into "good trouble". My respect and admiration has just grown 10 fold or more. May you truly rest peacefully with Our Father God, who knows no color except for the color & content of our souls. He certainly knows you've earned it. I know you've earned it. You're an iconic figure, not just to be mentioned in February during Black History month but in the tapestry of our UNITED AMERICAN history. Rest in Peace, sir.
